With a proven track record of driving sustainable growth, they are committed to reducing the risks associated with infrastructure investment through best practices and strategic partnerships, ensuring tangible benefits for all stakeholders in the economic value chain.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and reviewing agreements, legal opinions, and correspondence to ensure compliance and protect the firm's interests.
  • Providing transaction support, including legal documentation and negotiations, to facilitate smooth deal execution.
  • Supporting community engagement initiatives, ensuring legal compliance in all interactions.
  • Conducting market research to stay informed on relevant legal developments and trends in the industry.
  • Offering in-house legal support to the Economic Development and Projects (EDP) team, advising on legal risks and strategies.
  • Providing advisory services on Economic Development, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) matters, and Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) compliance.

Requirements:

  • LLB.
  • Admitted Attorney.
  • 2 - 3 years of corporate commercial experience (post admittance).
  • Thorough knowledge of legal principles and procedures.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations on business issues.
  • Excellent administration and organizational skills (corporate governance experience beneficial).
  • Well-developed written and oral communications skills
  • Motivated to work in economic development, ESG space.
  • Prepared to travel within South Africa.
