At Radiant Law, winner of multiple awards as a legal pioneer, we are continuing to see exciting new client work coming through from a rapidly expanding international client base.

We are now recruiting attorneys with between 3 and 5 years of post-admission experience to join our commercial contracts team. We are looking for lawyers who ideally have a solid background in commercial and procurement contracts, including experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating high-value and complex agreements. If you don't have that, but do have energy and interest in this area of the law, we'd love to hear why you think the role is right for you.

What you'll get to do

• Work closely with global clients to draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, often under tight deadlines.
• Include MSAs, SOWs, supply of goods and services, licensing and other types of agreements.
• Use data to understand and improve how we deliver for clients.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating with software developers, legal engineers, and document automation specialists.
• Deliver process improvement projects and show clients how we keep getting better.
• Share knowledge by documenting learnings and leading internal training.
• Over time, take on responsibility for managing client accounts and owning the success of our service delivery.

What we're looking for

• Based in Cape Town or Johannesburg.
• Be an admitted attorney with 3-5 years of post-articles experience (time spent working in-house is particularly of interest).
• Have experience or a strong interest in commercial contracts.
• If you haven't worked in this area before, tell us why it excites you and how it fits with your existing skills.
• Be comfortable in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities and plenty of autonomy.
• Have excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a natural drive to improve how things are done.
