Lecturer / Senior Lecturer (x2)

We have two permanent Lecturer Senior Lecturer positions available within the School of Information and Technology.

These outstanding opportunities are available in what is reputed to be South Africa's fastest growing private education organisation (listed), based in Centurion.

Reporting to the Academic Manager : School of Information Technology, you will independently utilise the learning management system and collaborate with colleagues to design, develop, and deliver modules effectively.

Participate in the ongoing development of programmes and curriculum, incorporating current educational trends and best practices.

Undertake assigned internal moderation responsibilities to ensure assessment validity and reliability.

Conduct venue-based assessment invigilation as required by the Registrar's Office.

Provide academic guidance and support to students, addressing their concerns and queries promptly.

Complete all Quality Assurance requirements related to modules and programmes to ensure compliance with academic standards.

Engage in research activities and contribute to community projects, fostering a culture of continuous learning and positive societal impact.

Maintain open and effective communication with students, colleagues, line managers, and management members.

Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while maintaining administrative efficiency.

Participate in meetings, workshops, and relevant committees as requested by management.

Fulfil administrative duties related to the position as directed by the relevant line manager.

Along with your Honours Degree and / or a related field.

For Senior Lecturer :

PhD in Computer Science or related field, you also have :

Industry certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA / CCNP, AWS, Microsoft Azure, CompTIA Security+, Data Science, Security+) are advantageous.

Proficiency in networking, systems administration, databases, and software development.

Strong programming background (Python, Java, C++ or similar) with data science, machine learning, and software engineering exposure.

Knowledge of cybersecurity, cloud computing, IT governance, and applied networks will be highly advantageous.

Prior teaching experience at a higher education level or professional / industry experience in IT infrastructure and systems.
