Requirements
- A Grade 12/ National Senior Certificate. A Basic R.425 qualification (i.e. Diploma/Degree in Nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows for registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwife/ Accoucheur. A post-basic qualification in Nursing Education and registered with SANC. Current registration with SANC. A minimum of 4 years’ appropriate/recognisable experience as a Professional Nurse registered with SANC in General Nursing (less 1-year experience for candidates appointed from outside the Public Service after complying with registration requirements). A Moderator and Assessor course registered with SANC. A valid driver’s license. Computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint. and sound communication skills. Good supervisory skills, report- writing and presentation skills. The ability to work in a team and under pressure.
- PNDII: A Grade 12/ National Senior Certificate. A Basic R.425 qualification (i.e. Diploma/Degree in Nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows for registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse appropriate/ recognizable nursing experience after being registered as a Professional Nurse and Midwife/ Accoucheur. Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse and of current registration. A post- basic nursing qualification in Nursing Education registered with the SANC. A minimum of 14 years’ appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing. At least 10 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing education as a Lecturer/Educator after obtaining the 1- year post-basic qualification in the relevant specialty (less 1 years’ experience for candidate appointed from outside the Public Service after complying with registration requirements). A valid driver’s license. Computer literacy/ certificate (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Good communication, supervisory, report writing and presenting skills. The ability to work in a team and under pressure.
Duties
- Coordinate the activities of Quality Assurance (QA), Organize and participate in quality assurance audits and peer reviews, implement continuous QA improvement programs focusing on academic standards, implement complaints, compliments, and suggestions. Develop, coordinate and implement the plan to correct the gaps, or challenges identified during audits, and standards of the institution, Evaluate the institution and institutional process to meet the accreditation criteria for SANC and CHE. Participate in curriculum development, review, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation.
