Job Purpose: Applications are invited to teach in the field of Academic Literacy, English and Afrikaans in the Foundation Phase and Early Childhood Development at the Wellington campus. Please note that the position is based at the Wellington Campus where tuition is in Afrikaans. Candidates must be able to teach in Afrikaans.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • A relevant Masters/M.Ed degree in Academic Literacy, or English or Afrikaans for Lecturer level and a relevant Hons-degree for Junior Lecturer level. Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s degree.
  • At least two (2) years’ relevant lecturing experience at tertiary level or five (5) years’ relevant teaching experience at school level.
  • A relevant teaching qualification.
  • Fluency in English and Afrikaans.
