About Us

GBS is a higher education provider offering a range of sector‑relevant courses across ten campuses in London, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester.

Role Overview

We are seeking Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BA (Hons) Global Business and Entrepreneurship programme. Due to our delivery model, we require flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and at weekends. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Lecturer in Business at Global Banking School, you will deliver management‑related modules in the above areas. You will develop and deliver comprehensive course materials, undertake all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment of students and keep up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver and assess student work ensuring all learning outcomes are met
  • Develop, update and improve course materials as appropriate
  • Use a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials
  • Actively engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties
  • Understand and keep up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices
  • Work towards a range of clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression
About You
  • Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable)
  • Have previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter
  • Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback
  • Accurate reporting and maintain thorough and organised student records
  • Work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills
  • Work with diverse groups of people
Desirable
  • Hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent)
  • Experience of design / development of academic or professional education programmes or equivalent
