The successful candidate will join a dynamic and supportive Department dedicated to teaching and research, as well as to overall student development. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and willing to make a significant contribution to the development of the Department and Faculty.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key areas:

• Facilitate learning at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics
• Conduct research and publish on topics related to Statistics/Mathematical Statistics
• Undertake undergraduate and/or postgraduate supervision
• Provide academic leadership and contribute to administration
• Undertake curriculum development and assessment
• Participate in community/industry engagement and outreach

Minimum Requirements

• Masters in Statistics or Mathematical Statistics and registrered for a PhD with a clear plan for completion
• Experience in teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate, in the field of Statistics
• Proven expertise in applying complex statistical techniques in statistical packages such as SAS, R and/or Python
• A record of successful postgraduate supervision at the honours
• A record of quality peer reviewed publications, in the field of Statistics, Applied Statistics or proof of peer reviewed technical reports submitted in industry
