About the Role

Our client, a highly regarded school in Vereeniging, Gauteng , is seeking a dedicated and skilled Learning Support Specialist . This role is critical in providing targeted academic assistance to students who require additional help to succeed in their studies. The Specialist will work with students across various grade levels, identifying learning barriers, developing individualized support strategies, and collaborating with teachers and parents to ensure student progress. Key Responsibilities

• Identify and assess students experiencing learning difficulties or challenges.

• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to support differentiation and provide in-class assistance where needed.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, challenges, and support strategies.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student assessments, interventions, and progress.

• Stay updated on best practices and research in learning support and special education.
• Facilitate small workshops for teachers on effective learning support techniques.
• Ensure a nurturing and encouraging atmosphere for all students receiving support in Vereeniging, Gauteng .

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field.
• A specialization or postgraduate qualification in Learning Support or Inclusive Education is highly preferred.
