SUMMARY

Our Client in the education industry is seeking a Learning Support Officer (Office-Based) who will be responsible for the coordination and administration of online VET training courses

POSITION INFO
Education and experience
  • Diploma or degree in Education or a related field would be beneficial
  • 2–3 years’ experience in a student support, tutoring, or learning assistance role, preferably in a tertiary education environment
  • Understanding of adult learning principles
  • Ability to adapt to diverse learning needs
  • Knowledge of inclusive learning practices and strategies
  • Understanding of barriers to learning and methods to support diverse student needs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Good organizational and administrative skills
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology
  • Computer literacy (MS Office, Learning Management Systems such as Moodle or Blackboard).
Duties and responsibilities
  • Answering customer queries
  • Receiving registrations from students and registering them on the courses you are coordinating
  • Coordinating courses (scheduling of webinars, liaising with lecturers, compiling course materials, creating, and sending certificates, maintaining accurate records for all of your courses and adhering to all compliance requirements)
  • Identifying and counselling underperforming students
  • Liaising with overseas offices regarding courses
  • Quality monitoring
  • Ensure that the courses you coordinate fully comply with all the Standards for Registered Training Organizations
  • Implementing company policies and procedures
  • Training lecturers and students on the use of Blackboard Collaborate
  • Assisting in the scheduling of courses (add to database / website)
  • Working with and maintaining the Moodle site
  • Providing assistance to the College Manager and your colleagues
  • Assisting with the institutes accounts
  • Ad hoc tasks as required by the college manager
  • Implementing and complying with company copies and procedures
