Job summary

Lumina Personnel in Belville Cape Town is seeking a Head of Visual Merchandising to lead the national VM strategy and ensure premium brand presentation across all showrooms. You will drive campaigns, window displays and in-store concepts while managing budgets and cross-functional partnerships.

Ideal candidates will have 5–8 years of multi-store retail VM experience with a relevant diploma or degree, plus strong leadership and premium brand exposure in décor/ homeware sectors.

Qualifications

• National Senior Certificate
• Diploma or degree in Visual Merchandising, Interior Design, Retail Design, Retail Management or related field
• 5–8 years visual merchandising experience in multi-store retail
• Minimum 5 years leading and developing visual merchandising teams
• Experience developing and implementing national merchandising strategies and seasonal campaigns
• Premium retail brand experience essential
• Experience in décor, homeware, furniture or lifestyle industry advantageous
• Strong commercial, project management and stakeholder management skills
• Passion for décor, design and emerging retail trends

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the national Visual Merchandising strategy aligned with brand and business objectives
• Lead and inspire the Visual Merchandising team, driving creativity, innovation and high performance
• Create and execute seasonal campaigns, window displays and in-store merchandising concepts across all showrooms
• Ensure consistent brand presentation and visual standards across the retail network
• Partner with Buying, Planning, Marketing, Retail Operations and Store Design teams to deliver impactful customer experiences
• Analyse sales and customer insights to optimise product placement and merchandising effectiveness
• Manage Visual Merchandising budgets, projects, suppliers and national roll-outs
• Conduct store visits and audits to maintain standards and support retail teams
