Responsibilities

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design process for diverse construction projects, from concept development through to detailed design and construction support.
• Perform complex structural analysis and calculations using advanced engineering software for steel, concrete, and other materials.
• Develop and review structural drawings , specifications, and technical reports, ensuring compliance with national building codes and standards.
• Manage and mentor a remote team of structural engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and construction teams via digital communication channels to resolve design issues and ensure project objectives are met.
• Oversee site inspections and provide technical guidance to construction teams as needed, leveraging remote communication tools and site reports.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in structural engineering design and project management.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Expertise in finite element analysis (FEA) software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro) and CAD software.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex projects in a remote work setting .
• Excellent understanding of construction materials, methodologies, and site challenges.
