Job summary

FHI Clinical is seeking a Statistical Programmer in Centurion, South Africa to perform statistical and database programming (primarily in SAS) for clinical projects in line with ICH GCP and local requirements.

You will lead TFL development, analyze data sets, and create macros, with focus on quality, documentation, and timely delivery. Collaboration with biostatisticians and cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field involving statistical analysis.
• Minimum of two years' experience as a SAS Programmer on research studies.
• Proficiency in SAS.

Responsibilities

• Write statistical analysis programs using SAS for high-volume studies.
• Design and generate TFL shells and analysis data set specifications from protocol/statistical analysis plan.
• Critically review the analysis plan or materials for accuracy.
• Coordinate with the biostatistician to deliver study summaries.
• Serve as a programming resource to analysts inside and outside the department.
• Design, create and document SAS macros or other tools.
• Write user documentation and train staff as needed.
• Propose new macros/tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Review statistical packages and data-handling documentation for consistency.
• With training, write randomization programs and prepare materials.
• Provide biometrics programming support to clients and internal teams.
• Assist Global Head with procedures and trial master file documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
