Placements24 is seeking a Senior Materials Scientist to lead R&D in Advanced Polymers at our Pretoria facility. The role focuses on hands-on lab work, collaboration with engineering and production teams, and driving polymer innovation from concept to implementation.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field, 6+ years in polymer research, and strong mentoring and communication skills to guide a high-performance research group on-site in Pretoria.

Competenze

• PhD in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of polymer R&D experience.
• Expertise in polymer synthesis and characterization techniques.
• Proven ability to manage research projects end-to-end.
• Strong communication and teamwork for on-site collaboration in Pretoria.

• Lead the development of new polymer formulations and synthesis processes.
