Woolworths Financial Services (WFS) is seeking a highly skilled Lead : Remuneration & Benefits Data Analyst to join our People & Culture team.
This critical role will drive remuneration processes, people analytics, systems, and financial governance.
Key Responsibilities
Remuneration & Benefits
- Calculate and validate Long-Term Incentive (LTI) and Short-Term Incentive (STI) figures, ensuring Finance has accurate data for payout processing.
- Prepare remuneration and incentive-related reports for the Remuneration Committee (RemCo), ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Lead and coordinate the Annual Salary Review (ASR) process, including benchmarking, analysis, and system accuracy.
- Work hand-in-hand with Business Partners to ensure cyclical processes relating to Remuneration & Benefits (ASR, STI, LTI, IPM file checks) run seamlessly.
- Maintain and document business rules, policies, and guidelines for remuneration and benefits processes.
Data, Reporting & Analytics
- Lead management support of the People & Culture function in people metrics, reporting, and analytics.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports including BU reporting, STP, dashboards, and ad-hoc requests.
- Develop and maintain People & Culture reports such as the P&C Scorecard and Functional Dashboard.
- Analyse people data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and prepare reports for senior leadership.
- Develop predictive models for attrition, performance, and workforce planning.
- Ensure quality assurance of key People & Culture datasets, reports, and metrics.
- Provide thought leadership on the complete cycle of talent analytics, from recruitment through attrition.
- Develop and maintain benchmarks with other organisations and industries.
Systems & Database Management
- Support the selection, implementation, and maintenance of People & Culture systems.
- Continuously support and optimise systems by researching best practices and industry standards.
- Collaborate with Woolworths Group and external providers to build system functionality to collect, analyse, and present data.
- Manage and maintain people-related databases, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of data.
- Prepare cost models for new organisational design and workforce planning.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Act as custodian and change agent for People & Culture Analytics, promoting the use of data in decision-making.
- Partner with Finance, senior leadership, and external providers to align data, systems, and reporting needs.
- Coach and train P&C stakeholders on the use and interpretation of people metrics.
- Participate in cross-functional projects, contributing insights and recommendations from data analysis.
- Evaluate effectiveness of People & Culture programs (e.g., training, performance, compensation) and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Provide analysis on market-based surveys, employee surveys, and ad-hoc studies as required.
Minimum Qualification
- Degree in Finance, Commerce, Computer Science, Statistics, or related discipline.
- Post graduate degree in Information Systems and or Data Analytics is advantageous.
Experience Required
- 15+ years' experience in data analysis and reporting, with strong exposure to remuneration processes.
- Proven ability to manage salary reviews, incentive calculations, and remuneration governance.
- 3+ years of experience leading system reviews and implementations in HR or People functions.
- Expert-level Excel and PowerBI skills with the ability to turn complex data into clear insights.
- Strong knowledge of business theory, budgeting, and organisational processes.
- Hands-on experience managing large databases and People systems, ensuring integration and optimisation.
- Proven project management expertise and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
