Placements24 is seeking an accomplished Lead Mechanical Engineer to spearhead its R&D initiatives. This fully remote role requires guiding a team, setting technical direction, and translating innovative concepts into viable product opportunities.

You will lead design, simulation (FEA/CFD), and prototyping of complex mechanical systems, collaborate with research institutions, and present roadmaps to executives.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive mechanical engineering experience with a focus on R&D.
• Proven track record leading R&D projects and delivering innovative concepts.
• Experience with IP development and patent filings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers in R&D projects.
• Define and drive the technical strategy for new mechanical technologies and product concepts.
• Conduct advanced research, feasibility studies, and proof-of-concept development.
