Role Overview

The Lead Mechanical Engineer will oversee mechanical design activities, ensuring compliance with project requirements, engineering standards, and industry codes. This role involves leading the mechanical team, coordinating across disciplines, and providing technical guidance throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and approve mechanical designs, drawings, and calculations to ensure compliance with design intent and standards.
  • Guide and support the drafting team in preparing accurate design deliverables and material take-offs.
  • Develop and approve technical documentation, including scopes of work, specifications, and engineering lists.
  • Evaluate tenders and vendor documentation, providing technical recommendations for equipment purchases.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure design integration and accuracy.
  • Monitor and report on design progress, costs, and schedules.
  • Ensure adherence to company procedures for document control and quality standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous improvement within the team.
  • Identify and implement methods to improve design and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet project deliverables.
  • Travel occasionally as required by project needs.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
