Placements24 is seeking a visionary Lead Healthcare Architect in Cape Town to spearhead design and implementation of state-of-the-art healthcare facilities. The role focuses on integrating digital health technologies, supervising a design team, and delivering compliant, innovative solutions for hospitals and clinics.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s in Architecture and 10+ years of progressive experience, with at least 6 years in healthcare projects, strong client management, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architecture or equivalent.
• 10+ years of progressive architectural design experience, including 6+ years healthcare.
• Demonstrated Lead Architect experience on major healthcare facilities.
• Knowledge of healthcare planning, medical programming, and regulatory standards.
• Proficiency in BIM (Revit) and visualization tools.
• Strong client management, presentation, and communication skills.
• Portfolio showcasing complex healthcare projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of new healthcare facilities and renovations in compliance with healthcare standards.
• Integrate advanced digital technologies and smart building solutions into designs.
• Develop conceptual, schematic, and construction documents for hospitals, clinics, and medical centers.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, administrators, equipment planners, and consultants.
• Oversee project lifecycle from feasibility to closeout, ensuring scope, budget, and schedule adherence.
• Conduct site analyses and risk assessments specific to healthcare environments.
• Mentor and manage a team of architects and designers.
• Stay updated on advancements in healthcare architecture and building science.
