Placements24 is seeking a Lead Full-Stack Developer to guide a fast-growing tech team in Pretoria, Gauteng. You will own the technical direction, mentor engineers, and architect scalable applications using MERN and related modern tools.

You will collaborate with product and design teams to define requirements, enforce coding standards, and drive high-quality software delivery in a dynamic environment. Leadership and communication are essential to scale our client's software solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
• Expertise in JavaScript, Node.js, Express.js, React.js, and MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and database design (SQL/NoSQL).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of full-stack web applications using the MERN stack.
• Architect scalable, maintainable, and high-performance backend and frontend solutions.
• Mentor and guide a team of junior and senior developers, promoting code quality and best practices.
