Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Food Production Sanitation Lead for Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will lead a sanitation team, develop master schedules, and ensure compliance with GMP and HACCP across production areas, equipment, and processes.

You will train staff, maintain detailed sanitation records, and collaborate with QA and Production to address any hygiene concerns while upholding high safety standards in a premier winery setting.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a food or beverage sanitation role
• 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity
• Knowledge of GMP and HACCP
• Experience with sanitation equipment
• Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills
• Ability to train staff
• Detail-oriented and safety-focused
• Willing to work flexible hours
• Must reside in Mossel Bay
• Qualification in Food Science or Microbiology is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of sanitation workers
• Develop, implement and optimize master sanitation schedules
