The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in managing multidisciplinary teams, a strong command of environmental legislation, and exceptional project management skills. This role involves mentoring junior professionals and ensuring high-quality outputs that meet regulatory frameworks. A commitment to diversity and inclusion is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Over 15 years’ experience in ESIAs in South Africa or Africa.
• Experience in managing a number of team members.
• Sound knowledge of environmental legislation processes within South Africa.
• Sound project management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the implementation of large-scale ESIA projects.
• Manage a team of over 10 environmental professionals.
• Mentorship and leadership for junior and mid-level staff.
• Develop and sustain client relationships for repeat business.
• Prepare and submit winning proposals.
• Travel within South Africa and possibly other African countries.
