Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Lead Enterprise Architect to guide strategic technology initiatives from the Soweto, Gauteng headquarters. The role requires defining IT architecture to support business objectives with scalability, security, and efficiency across systems.

You will develop roadmaps, set architectural standards, mentor architects, and influence senior stakeholders to align technology with business strategy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in enterprise architecture with at least 3 years in a lead role.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing enterprise-wide IT strategies and roadmaps.
• In-depth knowledge of TOGAF or Zachman frameworks.
• Strong understanding of enterprise application integration, data management, and cloud computing.
• Experience in the financial services industry is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture blueprint across business, application, data and technology domains.
• Define and enforce architectural standards, principles, and guidelines.
• Lead architectural reviews and guide technology selection and design.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to translate strategy into architecture requirements.
• Identify opportunities for modernization and innovation to improve outcomes.
• Oversee integration of new systems into the enterprise landscape.
• Manage architectural risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Mentor a team of enterprise and solution architects.
• Develop and maintain technology roadmaps and strategies.
• Communicate architectural vision effectively to diverse audiences.
