The product provides fully managed relational databases on‑premises on the mainframe and in the cloud. Additionally services to copy, migrate and replicate data from on‑prem to other targets (Cloud migration factory).
Qualifications / Experience
Minimum mandatory qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant areas are advantageous).
Minimum mandatory experience
- Minimum of 5 years of IT application or infrastructure operations experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in Agile working methods.
- Strong skills in Linux CRON and Unix Filesystems.
- Proficiency in scripting in Batch and Shell.
- Experience with Version Control, Build and Deployment Pipeline Automation (e.g., GitHub Actions or Jenkins).
- Familiarity with Cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Datadog or CloudWatch.
- Knowledge of ELK Stack, Splunk or Nagios for log management and alerting.

Role Requirements
System Analysis & Development:
- Conduct system analysis, design, development and testing for assigned technical products or applications within the context of an agile / DevOps delivery model.
- Focus on automation of environments, infrastructure build and deployment pipelines.
Infrastructure Management:
- Maintain build and set up new development tools and infrastructure for both on‑premise and cloud platforms.
- Automate the management of infrastructure patches and maintenance.
- Work on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
DevOps Collaboration:
- Collaborate with QA Engineers to build disposable test environments and automated testing.
- Ensure systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats in collaboration with QA Engineers.
- Work with Software Developers and Engineers to ensure development follows established processes and functions as intended.
- Improve integration of code between teams to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
Middleware & Configuration:
- Provide middleware support and configuration management for application‑dependent software such as Webservers, Java and Docker.
Tooling & Automation:
- Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve developer and customer experience.
- Develop scripts and monitoring tools to analyse and visualise important metrics about development processes, reliability and availability.
Operational Excellence:
- Support operational excellence goals through strong operations knowledge.
- Resolve escalated support topics as part of a tier‑3 DevOps role to ensure the highest availability of critical applications.
- Plan and execute upgrades of existing applications, tools and features.
Leadership & KPI Management:
- Steer the measurements and communication of operation KPIs and define necessary measures to improve quality.
- Prioritise the necessary operational scope for applications of business‑critical processes for the backlog.
- Lead specific operation meetings for processing of major and critical incidents.
- Lead post‑mortem treatment of major and critical incidents.
- Support Infrastructure Feature Teams in post‑processing of major incidents.
IT Service Continuity:
- Steer the IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) for business‑critical processes.
- Support with the development of the system design about the requirements for stable operation (design for run).
- Integrate requirements for critical applications from the regulated business units (e.g., GROUP Bank Alphabet).
Compliance & Budget:
- Request measures in the PRIME processes for the implementation of operational and compliance requirements from the infrastructure.
- Plan and ensure the appropriate use of the overarching operation budget.
Monitoring & Documentation:
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues ensuring minimal downtime and impact on users.
- Analyse application logs and metrics to identify and address potential issues proactively.
- Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions for applications and infrastructure.
- Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards in all operational activities.
- Document operational procedures, incident reports and troubleshooting guides.
Lifecycle & Security:
- Ensure the implementation of technical lifecycle measures and identify security measures.
