Job Title: Lead Development Representative - MEA

Location: South Africa (remote) or London UK or Cairo Egypt (Hybrid – 50% working time at the office)

Employment Type: Full Time Permanent

We are looking for a Lead Development Representative to help us drive growth within key markets across the Middle East and Africa region.

The Lead Development Representative's purpose is to identify, develop and qualify business for AVEVA's Direct Sales team.

This role is responsible for following up with inbound leads resulting from demand generation activities as well as maintaining an outbound book of business involving account research and omnichannel prospecting strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and qualify new opportunities for AVEVA Sales and Inside Sales Account Managers.
  • Handle inbound leads created via marketing campaigns and leads generated from your own research and outbound prospecting.
  • Work closely with local Marketing, Sales, Technical Sales, and other stakeholders to generate and progress opportunities in alignment with market priorities.
  • Leverage basic solution knowledge and industry-specific value propositions with an understanding of go-to-market strategy.
  • Conduct research planning and produce simple business presentations for internal and external delivery as needed.
  • Use social media, email, and phone communication to qualify and convert leads into opportunities for Sales and Account Managers.
  • Meet and strive to exceed personal KPIs including business development activities, booked meetings, and opportunities transferred.
  • Develop leads using the AVEVA Lead Management process while updating and maintaining CRM records accordingly.
  • Support Marketing activities such as campaigns, events, and webinars where appropriate.
  • Occasional travel to engage with Sales and Marketing in the field may be required.
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or professional Sales / Inside Sales / SDR-related experience.

  • Strong listening skills to determine the best solutions for prospect challenges.
  • Ability to understand prospect business requirements and effectively describe them to the Sales team.
  • Arabic language skills at a business level.
