Job summary

Idbasesoftware is seeking a highly experienced Senior Database Administrator to support enterprise-scale databases across MS SQL Server, IBM DB2, and PostgreSQL. You will design, implement, administer, optimize, and ensure high availability, security, and disaster recovery across complex production environments.

You will mentor junior DBAs, collaborate with infrastructure and development teams, and lead technical initiatives to ensure operational excellence in a hybrid Johannesburg setting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years enterprise DB Administration experience.
• Strong hands-on MS SQL Server and IBM DB2 administration.
• Experience with HA/DR, backup & recovery, and replication.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain MS SQL Server, IBM DB2, and PostgreSQL databases.
• Design, implement and manage development, test, staging and production environments.
