Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Commercial Appliance Installation Specialist to join our client’s expanding team in Port Elizabeth and surrounding areas. You will install and commission commercial kitchen and laundry appliances, ensuring they are connected safely and meet spec.

You will read manuals and diagrams, train client staff on new equipment, troubleshoot installation issues, and maintain installation records.

Qualifications

Proven experience installing and servicing commercial appliances.
Strong understanding of plumbing, electrical, and gas connections relevant to appliances.
Ability to read and interpret installation manuals and technical diagrams.
Excellent customer service and communication for client interactions in Port Elizabeth.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Physical stamina to lift and maneuver heavy appliances.

Responsibilities

Install and connect commercial kitchen and laundry appliances (ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, dryers).
Ensure installations comply with manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and local regulations.
Perform system checks and initial testing to verify operation.
Provide basic operational training to client staff on new appliance usage.
Troubleshoot and resolve installation-related issues.
Maintain accurate records of installations and site conditions.
