Lead daily rehearsals, shape programming with the artistic team, and manage the choreography budget while mentoring dancers.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a choreographer with a substantial body of original works performed professionally.
• A strong understanding of diverse movement vocabularies and choreographic methodologies.
• Proven ability to inspire and lead dancers through complex creative processes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with other artistic disciplines.
• Familiarity with dance notation systems and documentation methods.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dance, Choreography, Performance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, develop, and stage original choreographic works for the company's performance season.
• Collaborate with the Artistic Director and other creative team members to define the artistic vision and programming.
• Lead daily company classes and rehearsals, providing clear instruction and artistic guidance to dancers.
• Foster a creative and supportive environment that encourages experimentation and artistic growth among dancers.
• Work with costume designers, lighting designers, and set designers to ensure a cohesive aesthetic for each production.
• Develop and manage the choreography department's budget and resources.
• Contribute to the company's artistic outreach and educational programs.
• Stay current with trends and innovations in contemporary dance globally.
• Maintain high artistic standards and artistic integrity across all choreographic output.
