Lead the development and application of computational pipelines for analyzing next-generation sequencing (NGS) data (e.g., WGS, WES, RNA-Seq). Design and execute statistical analyses to identify genetic variants, gene expression patterns, and biological pathways. Develop and maintain robust bioinformatics databases and tools for data management and visualization. Mentor and guide junior bioinformaticians and data analysts, fostering technical expertise. Collaborate with experimental scientists to interpret genomic findings and guide future research directions. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies in bioinformatics and genomics.
Ph.D. or Master's degree in Bioinformatics , Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in bioinformatics, with significant experience in analyzing large-scale genomics data. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and shell scripting. Strong experience with NGS data analysis tools and software (e.g., BWA, GATK, STAR, DESeq2). Familiarity with cloud computing environments (AWS, GCP) and high-performance computing clusters. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead projects effectively.
