Placements24 in George is seeking an experienced Lead Bioinformatician to spearhead data analysis initiatives, developing and implementing advanced computational strategies to analyze large-scale biological datasets for drug discovery and personalized medicine.

You will lead a team of bioinformaticians, collaborate with geneticists and clinicians to interpret complex data, and ensure the integrity, reproducibility, and scalability of pipelines and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in bioinformatics, with at least 2 years in a team leadership role.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and Perl, and experience with relevant bioinformatics libraries and tools.
• Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning, and database management.
• Experience with high-performance computing environments and cloud platforms.
