Job Advert Summary

PFG is looking for a dynamic Team Leader to manage the Laminates production team, ensuring shift productivity, safety, and employee satisfaction while driving world‑class manufacturing standards.

Main Job Purpose

Manage the shift performance of the laminates team in the plant. Ensure output meets planned targets. Minimise losses during shifts. Maintain employee safety and satisfaction.

Main Objectives

Manage team and resources (time, PPE, raw materials) to achieve production targets. Monitor output and losses via hourly production and quality reports; make adjustments to meet targets. Enforce safety measures and compliance with the OHS Act; train employees per SOPs and risk assessments.

Build skill capacity via individual development plans to improve operator flexibility. Drive world‑class manufacturing standards (Visual Performance Management, 5S, teamwork, focused improvement projects).

Manage staff performance through coaching, performance management, and disciplinary actions. Ensure distribution processes support on‑time, in‑full delivery of quality products per customer requirements.

Qualifications
  • Grade 12
  • Technical tertiary qualification or Production Management diploma
