Job summary

Dante Personnel seeks an experienced Laboratory Manager to oversee daily lab operations and staff, ensuring ISO 17025 compliance and high-quality service delivery. You will manage testing schedules, reporting, and data integrity while liaising with clients on quotations and invoicing.

The ideal candidate has substantial lab management experience in an accredited environment and a strong grasp of quality systems, health, safety, and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

• NQF Level 4 qualification with 10 years management experience in a relevant laboratory environment.
• NQF Level 5 qualification with 5 years management experience in a laboratory environment.
• Proven experience working in an accredited testing laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily laboratory operations and staff management.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 laboratory quality systems.
• Manage testing schedules, reporting, and data integrity.
• Handle client interactions, quotations, invoicing, and service delivery.
• Implement risk management, corrective actions, and preventative improvements.
• Supervise laboratory staff and ensure competency training.
• Review, approve, and authorise laboratory test results.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, impartiality, and confidentiality requirements.

Job description

Minimum requirements:

• NQF Level 4 qualification with 10 years management experience in a relevant laboratory environment
• NQF Level 5 qualification with 5 years management experience in a laboratory environment
• Knowledge of the construction and engineering industry
• ISO/IEC 17025 Laboratory Systems training
• Technical Signatory recognized by SANAS
• Valid driver’s license
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Proven experience working in an accredited testing laboratory environment
