Job description

Support the Quality Control Department by inspecting, testing, and ensuring compliance of incoming and existing materials.

Responsibilities
  • Assist QC Technician in the day‑to‑day running of the Quality Control Department
  • Inspect, sample, and test all incoming goods (bulk, finished, packaging)
  • Test all incoming products (bulk, packed, components) when in‑house facilities are available; otherwise arrange third‑party lab testing
  • Assist in the submission of samples to third‑party labs for testing
  • Report product defects and non‑conformances
  • Assist with in‑house audits
  • Ensure status labelling of all products and materials
  • Complete release/testing documentation for bulk and finished product warehouses
  • Liaise with finished product warehouse for re‑work where applicable
  • Manage packaging components
  • Check bulk products prior to testing
  • Ensure batch documentation is collated and correctly filed
  • Maintain and service laboratory equipment and facilities
  • Routinely check released product for compliance with GWP in the warehouse
  • Comply with the company’s international and regulatory authorities regarding quality control methods, standards, operating procedures, and work instructions
  • Ensure periodic review and documented quality control inspections of the finished/bulk goods warehouse and laboratory
  • Effectively communicate and document all major quality problems to the QC Technician to ensure closure
  • Support and recommend improvements to company policies and procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness of all controlled areas (reject cage, sampling booth, retention store)
  • Ensure acceptable safety practices are followed in the laboratory
  • Comply with company, warehouse, and laboratory safety requirements
  • Comply with statutory and legal requirements for storage and disposal of materials and products
  • Ensure correct type/number of retention samples are kept
