Job summary

A global testing and certification company is seeking a laboratory technician in Kathu, Northern Cape, to assist with sample preparation. The ideal candidate will have Grade 12 or N3 with Mathematics and Science, and at least two years of experience in a laboratory environment. Responsibilities include preparing samples, maintaining instruments, and adhering to quality standards. Flexible shifts and overtime are required. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• At least two years of sample preparation experience in a laboratory environment.
• Must pass a complete medical examination and induction training.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for tests using correct procedures.
• Track and collect samples for analysis.
• Maintain and verify laboratory instruments.
• Adhere to quality and safety procedures.
• Clean the laboratory and equipment.

Skills

Good communication skills

Workable knowledge of calibration

Computer literacy in LIMS, Word, Excel

Ability to work shifts

Education
