Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking a Junior Research Analyst based in Cape Town to support KYC compliance through open-source research. You will collect data from reputable sources on PEPs, companies, and institutions and translate raw data into actionable insights to mitigate financial and reputational risk.

You will develop data-entry efficiency, learn in-house data collection systems, and collaborate with teams to ensure data accuracy and adherence to guidelines.

Qualifications

• Critical thinking and analytical skills required with high attention to detail.
• Ability to enter data accurately and work under time constraints.
• Strong organizational skills and willingness to learn in AML/KYC context.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform open-source research to collect data from public sources.
• Review reputable media, government and regulatory sources to build data.
• Ensure data extraction aligns with company guidelines and standards.
• Identify regulatory and financial risk indicators such as AML, fraud, corruption.
• Collaborate with teams to maintain data quality and consistency.
