A leading animal health company is looking for a Key Account Manager for Poultry in South Africa to drive sales growth and build relationships with key clients. You will develop strategies, set sales targets, and collaborate with marketing teams to promote nutritional and health products. PAHC seeks to hire a strong Key Account Manager Poultry South Africa with demonstrated achievements in growing business with poultry key accounts in South Africa.
This position will drive and lead all go-to-market activities with poultry customers in KZN and Mpumalanga, including but not limited to poultry integrators, veterinarians, nutritionists, feed companies, and pre-mixers.
The focus will be on Nutritional Specialties, Medicated Feed Additives and Vaccines, with the aim of achieving the financial targets and overall business goals.
In alignment with the regional strategy, the mission is to ensure sustainable and rapid sales growth with selected key accounts by identifying and capitalizing on commercial opportunities, while building Phibro's brand image as a leading supplier of innovative animal health and nutrition solutions.
Major responsibilities :
Lead the development and implementation of the key account strategy
Plan, organize, and lead all business development and sales initiatives.
Set annual sales, gross margin and business development targets for each product and key account
Create a deep customer understanding while building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers in each key account
Identify customer opportunities, needs and ways to enhance Phibro's value proposition and portfolio
Create and implement networking strategies that will support generating new opportunities short term and build long term sustainable partnership
Report status and progress of sales activities and development projects in a clear way as well as create / maintain up-to-date market, sales, and financial forecasts to support reporting and assessment of business activities
Collaborate actively with the marketing and technical team to develop suitable product / service strategies and position Phibro's value proposition aligned with industry trends and customer's needs
Ensure that technical training support to key accounts and distributors is well-organized
Prepare, support and execute key product launches in the country
Constantly monitor the regulatory status and sustainability of Phibro registration portfolio
This position will be based in or around Pietermaritzburg, KZN Province, reporting directly to the Business Unit Manager Poultry South Africa.
Degree in animal nutrition / animal health / veterinary medicine or other relevant discipline
A seasoned professional with minimum 5 years of working in the poultry industry in South Africa
Possessing established and demonstrated business relationships with key poultry accounts in South Africa
Strong understanding of the poultry nutritional sectors as well as medicated feed ingredients, knowledge of vaccines is a plus
Strong expertise in Value Based Solution Selling with proven success in leading the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies
Must be analytical and have the ability to problem solve in a concise and logical manner
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and manage expectations to create trust and credibility across a broad spectrum of the company
