Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing key accounts, developing strategic relationships, and driving sales to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts in the poultry industry, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Sales Strategy: Implement and execute SAM / KAM sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets and business goals.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify opportunities for growth and competitive positioning.
  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on account status, sales performance, and market trends.
  • Customer Support: Provide exceptional customer service and support, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, technical, and product development teams to align strategies and achieve business objectives.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profit and ensure mutual benefit.
Qualifications
  • Education: BVSc, BSc degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or account management within the poultry industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proven leadership and team management abilities; Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills; Strategic thinker with experience in developing and executing Account Business Plans; Strong negotiation, closing, and decision‑making capabilities; Expertise in building and maintaining relationships with key clients and stakeholders; In‑depth knowledge of the poultry market and business acumen.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience in poultry production or feed additives; Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth; Familiarity with the South African poultry market.
  • Personal Attributes: Highly motivated and results oriented; Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
