Minimum requirements for the role :
- Tertiary qualification is preferred but not essential for the role.
- Previous internal or external sales experience working within any industry will be beneficial for this role.
- Previous experience having sold chemical raw materials into the personal care or homecare or related industries is preferred for the role but is not essential.
- The successful candidate must be a strong team player with the ability to build and foster relationships.
- Must have good business acumen with good analytical and synthesis skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills is essential.
- Computer literacy is essential with good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages.
The successful candidate will be responsible for :
- Managing key accounts within the personal care and homecare manufacturing industries.
- Developing relationships with customers to ensure strategic alignment.
- Establishing and achieving monthly and annual budgets, based on customer information and forecasts.
- Identifying customer needs to increase customer profitability for sustainable and profitable mutual growth.
- Working closely with the customer to ensure that the correct raw materials are procured for them.
- Working closely with the warehouse and distribution team to ensure that products are forecasted correctly and delivered on time.
- Ensuring timely and correct delivery of personal care raw materials to customers.
- Assisting and working closely with a senior manager to ensure that customer expectations are met at all times.
