Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in the Citrus Industry; non-negotiable.
• Computer literate with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience in fruit sourcing or exports is ideal.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the procurement of fresh citrus fruit.
• Procure fruit from growers in South Africa, Botswana, and Zimbabwe.
• Report to the Sourcing Manager.

Job description

This position will be responsible for the procurement of fresh citrus fruit; in the Northern parts of South Africa. The fruit will be procured from growers in South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe and exported to customers across the world as well as sold locally. This position will be based in the North of South Africa (for example : Tzaneen, Hoedspruit, Letsitele) and will report to the Sourcing Manager.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in the Citrus Industry; non-negotiable (citrus production / pack house / quality)
• Computer literate (Advanced Excel and Power Point skills are essential)
• Ideally experience in fruit sourcing or fruit exports
• Matric however a tertiary qualification will be advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Good communication skills across all platforms will be integral (Whatsapp, e‑mail, Teams etc.)
• Be able to work on his or her own as they will not be based close to a company office.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Sound knowledge of citrus quality processes and systems
• Sound knowledge of citrus pack house processes and systems
• Basic understanding of citrus farming processes
