Position Available: Logistics Specialist
Responsibilities
- Inbound Logistics:
- Coordinate deliveries from local and international suppliers to Jupidex warehouses.
- Manage customs clearance, import/export documentation, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Monitor shipment schedules and resolve any delays or disruptions.
- Outbound Logistics:
- Plan and execute deliveries from Jupidex warehouses to dealers and customers across South Africa and all Export countries.
- Work with logistics providers to schedule transport and ensure cost-effective delivery routes.
- Track and communicate shipment progress, proactively resolving delivery issues.
- Inventory & Warehouse Coordination:
- Monitor stock levels to ensure availability of goods for customers.
- Work with warehouse staff to ensure accurate receiving, storing, and dispatching of goods.
- Maintain records of stock movement and reconcile discrepancies.
- Supplier & Partner Management:
- Build strong working relationships with suppliers, transport companies, and warehouse teams.
- Negotiate rates, contracts, and service levels with logistics partners where applicable.
- Evaluate performance of suppliers and transport providers and suggest improvements.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Prepare and manage shipping documents, invoices, delivery notes, and customs papers.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Keep records up to date for audit and reporting purposes.
- Customer Service & Communication:
- Serve as the point of contact for dealers and customers regarding delivery status and queries.
- Provide clear updates on order progress and resolve complaints or concerns quickly.
- Align logistics operations with customer service standards.
- Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
- Produce regular reports on delivery performance, transport costs, and stock movement.
- Analyse data to identify inefficiencies and recommend cost‑saving opportunities.
- Support strategic projects to improve logistics processes and systems.
- Warranty Administrative Duties:
- Process and validate warranty claims and registrations.
- Liaise with dealers, suppliers, and technical teams.
- Keep accurate records and report on warranty trends/issues.
Requirements
- Education:
- Min: Post‑Matric Diploma.
- Ideal: Degree in business / logistics supply chain or related field.
- Legal Requirements:
- Min: Valid driver’s license and police clearance.
- Training:
- Min: On‑the‑job training, Computer Skills on Word & Excel.
- Ideal: Advanced Excel certification.
- Hazard & Safety Requirements:
- Min: Occupational Health & Safety.
- Experience:
- Three years' experience in logistics and freight.
