Job summary
An aviation company in Johannesburg is seeking a warehouse assistant to manage spare parts inventory. Responsibilities include record-keeping, updating stock systems, delivering spares, and general warehouse duties. Candidates should be organized and able to handle multiple tasks. Responsibilities
- Assist with weekly cycle counts in any of the warehouses as needed.
- Ensure precise record-keeping of all documentation related to spare parts movement.
- Update stock ERP to reflect relevant movements.
- Direct parts to outstations, hangars, and airports.
- Create documentation for shipping purposes as per Work Instructions.
- Update Flow Centric in accordance with SAM.
- Deliver spares at all hangars.
- Maintain housekeeping in the warehouse.
- Draw and issue spares from main warehouse.
- Attend to requests for spares via email, phone, or WhatsApp.
- Carry out general warehouse duties as requested.
- Control access to the warehouse at all times.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as requested by management.
Responsibilities

- Ensure precise record-keeping and filing of all pertinent documentation related to the movement of spare parts;
- Update the stock ERP(SAM) to reflect relevant movements;
- Direct parts to outstations, hangars, and airports where they are required;
- Create documentation for shipping purposes as well as packaging as per Work Instructions;
- (COMAT) Update Flow Centric in accordance with SAM as soon as parts are received or dispatched;
- Deliver spares at all hangars;
- Housekeeping to be done daily;
- Draw and issue spares from main warehouse;
- Attend to all requests for spares sent through via email, phone calls or WhatsApp;
- Carry out general warehouse duties as requested by supervisor;
- Ensure access to warehouse is controlled at all times;
- Carry out ad-hoc tasks as requested by management.
