Job summary

Methys group in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa, is seeking a Junior UX/UI Designer to join our vibrant team. You will work closely with client-facing colleagues to translate user needs into intuitive interfaces and meaningful experiences.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of UI/UX experience, a strong portfolio, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma. Experience with Wix/Editor X is a plus; strong communication and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

2–3 years UI/UX design experience with a portfolio of projects.
Strong portfolio demonstrating UX/UI capabilities and aesthetics.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
Proficiency in Figma for prototyping and collaboration.
Comfortable with building platforms such as Wix Editor X.
Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

Establish and innovate user-centered design processes.
Advocate for UX/UI processes and data-driven design decisions.
Collaborate with product managers and engineers to gather user requirements.
Create clickthrough prototypes and UI mockups to demonstrate navigation and visuals.
Present rough drafts to internal teams and stakeholders and iterate based on feedback.
Ensure designs meet style standards for fonts, colors, and images.
