A leading financial services firm seeks an Underwriting Assistant in Centurion, Gauteng. This role involves liaising with clients, preparing quotations, and issuing policies. The ideal candidate should have 1-3 years of experience in short-term insurance and relevant certifications. Strong communication and administration skills are crucial.
To provide underwriting assistance to the Advisers.
The position will focus on both commercial and personal lines.Responsibilities : Liaising with clients and advisersPreparing new quotations (new business) with the necessary and supplementary documentsHandling proposal forms, onboarding documents, like iComply, SLA and be responsible for the correct uploading and maintenance thereofIssuing new policies, renewals, and endorsements and maintenance thereof on myPracticeBuilding and maintaining good working relationships with clients and internal stakeholdersRecording details and information on the relevant systemsMinimum Requirements : Grade 12NQF 4 Short-term Insurance Certificate ( Credits)RE5 Certificate1 - 3 years ´ short-term insurance experience in commercial lines and personal insuranceDOFA confirmation from FSCACompetencies required : Good verbal and written communication skillsGood administration skillsPlanning and organising skillsTime management skillsResilient with a good level of stress toleranceHighly client focused with good interpersonal skills
