Introduction

A South African property fund is seeking an Asset Manager to support the management of logistics and industrial properties across its national portfolio.

The role is focused on optimising asset performance, supporting transactions, and ensuring operational and financial oversight across co-owned and directly held assets.

This is a full-time, Cape Town–based role reporting to the National Asset Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist with all matters relating to property acquisitions, disposals, and lease renewals.

  • Implement and manage sales and lease processes in line with internal frameworks.
  • Review property budgets and provide input into financial planning cycles.
  • Attend tenant meetings and support relationship management across the Cape Town portfolio.
  • Assist with viewings and vacancy management for Cape Town assets.
  • Provide input into interim and annual external property valuation cycles.
  • Review municipal general and supplementary valuation rolls and provide recommendations.
  • Support the management of co-ownerships and joint ventures.
  • Review documentation related to Property Owners Associations, Body Corporates, and City Improvement Districts.
  • Review tenant billing and assist the billing department with municipal reconciliations.
Desired Experience & Qualification

Tertiary qualification in Property Studies, BCom, LLB, or related field.

  • 3–5 years' experience in property asset management.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role within the logistics or industrial property sector preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Strong numeracy and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines within a structured policy framework.
  • Familiarity with lease implementation, property valuations, and municipal billing processes.
