Our client is seeking to employ a Junior Storeman for their team in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town.

Location:

Southern Suburbs, Cape Town

Requirements:
  • Computer Literacy is a must
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Able to lift and move heavy items daily
  • Good communication & teamwork skills
  • Reliable & organised
  • Prior work experience in an FMCG warehouse environment (advantageous)
About:
  • Assist in the warehousing of the stock and stock takes, ensuring that clients receive their deliveries accurately and on time.
  • General deliveries and collections as required.
  • Operate the forklift as needed. The employee is required to ensure this licence is kept up to date.
  • Any other tasks that aid the smooth running of the warehouse.
Picking, Packing and Shipping of Orders
  • Receiving and checking in of stock and goods coming into the distribution centre.
  • Boxing of orders is required before dispatch.
  • Administration as required for delivery and stock management.
  • Assembling of equipment on the premises and at the customer's when needed
  • Any other tasks that aid the smooth running of the warehouse.
Stocktake
  • Organisation of all stock, including keeping it in an organized and orderly fashion.
  • Doing stock takes and reconciling with the stock system. Missing stock to be traced and accounted for.
  • Keeping track of all packed orders in the warehouse to ensure they are dispatched on time.
  • Communicate with the courier
  • Delivery tracking.
General Responsibilities
  • Keep the distribution centre clean and organised.
  • Merchandise open spaces and showroom.
  • Aim to uphold the proud reputation of the Vision, Mission and Culture.
  • Treat all company and client information as privileged and highly confidential.
  • Attend weekly team meetings and share best practices with colleagues.
Salary:

R12,000 - R15,000
