Job Summary

The Stock Controller is responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining accurate inventory levels within the warehouse or store. This role ensures that stock is received, recorded, stored, and dispatched efficiently while preventing stock losses and maintaining high levels of accuracy.

Inventory Management
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and update inventory systems daily.
  • Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation.
  • Investigate stock discrepancies and report issues immediately.
  • Monitor slow-moving, damaged, or expired stock and elevate where necessary.
Receiving & Dispatch
  • Verify incoming stock against delivery notes and purchase orders.
  • Ensure correct labeling, packing, and storage of stock.
  • Prepare and issue stock for dispatch following company procedures.
  • Ensure stock rotation (FIFO / LIFO) is followed.
Warehouse Coordination
  • Organise stock in the warehouse to optimise space and accessibility.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in storage areas.
  • Collaborate with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Capture stock movements on ERP / WMS systems.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
  • Assist with audits and compliance checks.
Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Computer literacy (Excel, ERP / WMS systems).
