Job summary

Masterparts is seeking a Junior / Trainee Developer to join a small but expanding Microsoft-based software development team. The role notes a preference for someone with two years of working experience and a strong aptitude for learning new technologies.

The ideal candidate will show solid problem-solving and analytical abilities, proficiency in at least one programming language, and a good grasp of OOP concepts, design patterns, and API integrations.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; higher-grade mathematics advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Experience with at least one AI, preferably other than ChatGPT.
• Ability to write clean, efficient code in at least one language (e.g., C++, SQL, C#, Python).
• Willingness to learn new technologies, languages, frameworks and systems.
• Thorough understanding of database design, normalisation and relational concepts.
• Hands-on experience writing and optimising SQL stored procedures.
• Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle or similar methodologies.
• Proficiency in OOP concepts and design patterns.
• Familiarity with source control systems such as Git.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills; able to resolve issues efficiently.
• Knowledge of software testing principles, including unit and integration testing.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining quality.
• Experience with API integration and web services (REST/JSON).
• Understanding of software security best practices.
