Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Junior Social Media Specialist.

The role is located in Cape Town.

The Junior Social Media Specialist will be responsible for managing social media content creation, executing social media marketing strategies, and assisting with digital marketing efforts.

Daily tasks include creating and scheduling posts, engaging with followers, analyzing social media performance, and supporting communication initiatives.

This role will also work closely with the marketing team to ensure coherent brand messaging across all platforms.

You will be required to visit projects with our team to understand, and create content specific to each partner organisation.

Qualifications
  • Social Media Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Marketing skills
  • Social Media Content Creation and Communication skills (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Tiktok)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret social media metrics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to conceptualise and shoot content (Photo and Video)
  • Proficiency in social media management tools
  • Experience in non-profit or youth-focused organizations is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Digital Design, Marketing, Communication, or related field also a plus
