Duties & Responsibilities

ENVIRONMENT :Since the early 2000s our client has been a trusted leader in South Africas wound care industry renowned for exceptional service and support delivered through a dedicated national sales team. Backed by an innovative R&D division focused on developing high-quality locally manufactured advanced wound care products they continue to set the standard in the field. They are now seeking a motivated results-driven and well-organized Medical Sales Consultant to join their dynamic team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate must be fluent in Afrikaans and English and passionate about healthcare innovation. The primary focus of this role is to drive sales growth by opening new accounts expanding existing business and providing ongoing education and support to both new and existing customers.

DUTIES
  • Services existing accounts obtains orders and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
  • Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor.
  • Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
  • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports such as daily call reports weekly work plans and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing products new products delivery schedules merchandising techniques etc.
  • Recommends changes in products service and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Performing cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing / potential customers to meet their needs.
  • Achieve agreed upon sales target and outcomes within schedule.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Highly motivated and target driven with proven track record in sales.
  • Excellent selling communication and negotiation skills (Fluent in English and Afrikaans).
  • Prioritizing time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
