Job summary

A multi-disciplinary consulting firm in South Africa seeks a Graduate or Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. The role involves supporting senior QS professionals, collaborating with architecture and engineering teams, and assisting with cost estimates, Bills of Quantities, and project meetings. Job Description

A multi-disciplinary consulting firm based in Cape Town, is seeking a Graduate or Junior Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join their dynamic team.

The successful candidate will support senior QS professionals and collaborate closely with Architecture and Engineering teams on a variety of exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation of preliminary and detailed cost estimates
  • Support the compilation of Bills of Quantities and contract documentation
  • Assist in tender evaluations and financial reporting
  • Help track project costs, valuations, variation orders, and cost control documents
  • Contribute to feasibility studies, repair / damage costings, and value at risk assessments
  • Attend site and project meetings for learning and exposure
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Architects, Engineers, and Project Managers
