A prestigious private game reserve in Limpopo is seeking a passionate, motivated, and hands-on Junior Project Site Manager (Construction) to join its development team. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and technically skilled professional to gain experience in a unique environment, overseeing construction projects that blend modern functionality with the natural beauty of the African bush.

The role requires a balance of technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage projects from start to finish while ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning & Coordination: Develop, implement, and monitor project schedules. Oversee multiple tasks and priorities to ensure timely completion. Ensure accurate interpretation of construction plans and specifications. Procure and manage materials for each phase of the project.
  • Leadership & People Management: Supervise construction workers and subcontractors. Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring balanced workload distribution. Foster a motivated and productive work environment. Communicate project updates and expectations clearly to all team members.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and best practices. Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce safety protocols. Oversee quality control and ensure workmanship meets required standards. Solve day-to-day challenges promptly to keep the project on track.
  • Financial & Resource Management: Monitor and control budgets to ensure projects remain within financial constraints. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Manage company vehicles and construction equipment effectively.
  • Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Adjust plans to accommodate changing circumstances and unexpected challenges. Demonstrate flexibility to work beyond standard hours when required. Apply strong problem-solving skills to identify causes and develop solutions.
Key Requirements
  • Valid Driver’s License (Code 10 + PDP)
  • Tertiary Qualification in Construction Project Management or similar
  • 2–4 years’ experience in a similar construction management role
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting building plans
  • Hands-on approach with excellent leadership and time-management skills
  • Strong communication skills (bilingual advantageous)
  • Ability to resolve conflicts fairly and maintain a collaborative team environment
  • Knowledge of safety codes and compliance requirements
  • Motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about construction
