Responsible for leading variable‑sized projects with variable complexities (or managing specific tasks within a larger project) as specified by the business requirements for the Group. The project management responsibilities may stretch across both Business and IT domains.
Output / Core Tasks
- Define & manage the project in accordance with the PM methodology, governance & standards
- Effective Risk, Issue, Actions, Budget & Dependency management
- Effective prioritisation process of scope items across project scope based on Available capacity, Budget availability and Expected business benefit realisation
- Effective progress and finance tracking and feedback
- Accountable for resource contracting and optimal utilisation
- Accountable for procurement process, vendor contracting & delivery management in accordance with contractual agreements
- Effective utilisation of project management forums for reporting, escalation & decision‑making (Project-, Steercom- & Investment committee meetings)
- Apply formal Change Management process (scope, budget, timeline) when required
- Stakeholder management - establish and maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders
- Smooth transition from project implementation to ongoing BAU Support & Maintenance
Qualifications :
- Grade 12
- Relevant IT or Project Management qualification
Experience :
- 3+ years of experience in managing IT projects
- Applicable experience in managing outsourced projects in a multi‑vendor environment
- Solid experience in SAAS solution implementation and the importance of authentication and authorisation of users
- Solid experience in IT and Architecture governance
- Relevant experience in managing projects in Financial Services
